(*This is an ongoing little mini diary of the process of redesigning my website. Posts will be added daily or almost daily until I have a beautiful and functional new website.)
I’m sure my University and online students wonder sometimes if I practice what I preach when it comes to getting away from the glowing screen and planning things out on paper. The answer is YES, of course!
Here is my site inventory. That’s a list of everything I want to have on the new website (and anything I want to take off.)
The next step was then to try and organize the content so I would know which pages they would be on and what menu items I would have. Here is my navigation chart which works a lot like a family tree.
I’m not sold 100% on everything (especially my new proposed tagline) but it’s enough to start now thinking about my layout and design and to… eep… start setting things up in the new theme, Divi.
I have an illustration deadline pending and not much childcare tomorrow so I’ll tackle the bigger jobs on Tuesday.
That’s all for now.
Cheers!
Kristen
