New: Sustainable Development Goals Drawing
Hello. It’s been a busy few weeks in the studio.
My new artwork called Vision: 17 Sustainable Development Goals (drawing) is a meditation on setting and achieving goals. For the main structure, it uses the ancient fruit of life symbol from sacred geometry which is about creation and interconnectedness.
In the 13 circles and four corners are humanity’s loftiest goals to date, the UN’s seventeen sustainable development goals.
You can see all the little details up close and learn more about the goals here.
Other recent drawings in this series include ones about world peace, a sustainable planet, food security for all, education opportunities for every girl and boy, and even a peaceful and unified South Africa!
Behind the Scenes
The Mysterious Lady in the Yellow Dress
I also recently finished The Yellow Dress just in time for International Women’s Day 2023.
It was a collaboration with Malawian poet and activist, Tendai Shaba who wrote the popular poem, “Lady in the Yellow Dress.”
This drawing is a visual interpretation of his words. It celebrates that moment when a woman feels beautiful, confident, joyful, free, and in alignment with her own power.
What do you think of the recent drawings? Let me know by telling me your thoughts in the comments below. Thanks!
Well, that’s all for now….
