Hitting the Ground Running

I’ve been back in Malawi for two weeks now, and it was time to get back making to work straight away. This past week I made five new murals after my recent USA and Germany trip to see family in July.

My team of former digital media students and I created murals for the United Nations Primary Care Clinic.

Alain Bull’dor Bonane from the DRC is our lead painter with some beautiful designs he created. His designs included the main “Ticheze” (community) image. I set up the three smaller health symbol murals and the community collaborative garden mural. We also invited medical staff to join us in painting and drawing. These were all finalized last week.

Our team members also include Malawians, Nataliah Govati, Ronard Kachaje, and Prince Kachiwanda.

In total there are 5 outdoor murals. These will be joined by two outdoor banners and a selection of wall art from Ma Kalulu Studio for the interiors.

Meanwhile at the Hands of Hope Feeding Center…

My sons, Nico (above) and Lukas (below) have been helping Wilson Mvinya who runs Hands of Hope Feeding Centre.  *That’s a lollypop in Nico’s mouth, not a cigarette!

The boys were so excited to help out.

Did you know that a generous portion of proceeds from every art sale at Ma Kalulu Studio goes to benefit worthy causes? These are in Malawi, Myanmar, the USA, and more.

Hands of Hope Feeding Centre is one of those causes. You can learn more about all the charitable projects we support here.
