Sacred Geometry Spiral Drawing

Greetings from my part of the world to yours. I hope you’re doing well.

I don’t know how to tell you this, but it’s the beginning of the end! (Well, maybe.)

The new sacred geometry spiral drawing you see in progress above is going to be #12 in my sacred geometry series of drawings made with ink and acrylic.🌀

The Fibonacci Spiral is a form found in nature, from seashells, to flowers, to weather patterns, and galaxies.

It also makes a great visual metaphor for evolution and infinity. Some believe that this pattern represents the infinite and interconnected nature of all things. It symbolizes the natural order and balance found in the universe.

My version incorporates alternating patterns from cultures and traditions on every continent on Earth. The goal is to show the beauty of diversity as well as unity.

All the continents are represented (except Antarctica which will be outside the spiral later.) The patterns I’ve made so far come from: Mali, Indonesia, Greece, Haida Nation, Peru, Papua New Guinea, Ghana, India, Portugal, Bolivia, and the Pueblo Nation.

I intended for the continents to alternate in (alphabetical) order but I started drawing before I had my coffee today and accidentally swapped North and South America. Whoops!

Oh well. It’s just further proof that I’m not an AI Bot!

Anyway, later when this drawing is in a show, I’ll say I intended for the location swap to happen. Shhh!

What’s Better Than a New Sacred Geometry Drawing In Progress?

…One that you can also see being drawn in real time while set to music!
Here are some studio “action shots” from the past week making my sacred geometry spiral drawing.
