Student Work From Animation and Multimedia Storytelling
So just about one month has gone by since I last set foot at Addis Ababa University. As I sit here now back in Rome compiling student work together to the music of popular Ethiopian singer Teddy Afro, I think warmly about each student as I see their own personal style and personality shine through in their work.
My only regret is I am missing one file on my computer, a lovely multimedia animated fable created by Paulos Aemero and Solomon Mekonnen. If they are able to still send it to me, I’ll update this compilation of student work accordingly.
Well, without further ado, here is what my students were able to accomplish in two short weeks. I am thankful I was able to play a tiny role in their art and media education and hope I might be able to stop by again some day.

Beautiful work, Kristen. Your Ethiopian students are inspirational for sure!
Hi Kristen, i’m one of your Udemy students and this video really encourages me for the possibilities i can do. Thank you for posting. btw which Teddy Afro song(s) was playing in the video. I don’t know this artist and would like to support his music. Thank you. — Lonnie
Hi Lonnie! Thanks for your comment and thanks for also being one of my online students. I can’t wait to see what you make as well. The song by Teddy Afro is called Afralehu. Great find, no? Best wishes, Kristen
Thanks Cathal. They really are. And from what I hear, the course was just the beginning and many are hard at work on more in-depth projects that build off of what we started.
